GREEN GRASS REALITY

Dark Knight was fucking amazing.  Jesus I needed a cigarette after that (eh actually maybe just some water).  It was just so intense and draining but so is life (not really).  Anyway there will be a review up hopefully by Tuesday from Matt who gets to see the on IMAX tonight (lucky mofo).  Not only is Dark Knight the start of the summer movie season coming to a close, it is also the opener for various movies showing three new trailers and (Bolt?).  The Spirit and Watchmen; Wow.  Spirit is cool over the top flair.  Hero whose dead getting a bunch of "strange" girls and fighting Sam Jackson who has an army of helicopters in the 1950? Awesome.  And Watchmen; when Sydner said the movie would be a 1:1 comic cell to film cell i didn't believe it.  This trailer really looks like he's going to attempt to pull it off.  And while the trailer was really cool, I still fear that the complexities of The Watchmen cannot be fully realized within a 3 hour timespan.  I've also been thinking if the 1:1 ratio is actually a good thing for comic book adaptation. Christopher Nolan's Dark Knight IS Christoper Nolan's Dark Knight.  He has created an extra lore and scenario within the Batman canon.  The 1:1 relationship between the Watchmen comic and Watchmen movie is cool, but all we are really getting is more visual realism and moving images.  If you have nothing to add then you shouldn't be doing it at all?  What can Zack Synder add to the Watchmen universe?  Personally I'd rather see the risk of making a property one's own a la what Christopher Nolan did for Batman.  But I don't know I'm just being bitchy for no reason.
        By the way, shit load of new stuff going on the site.  Whole new layout.  Every week there will be at least one new review and feature article written by us.  Also we will be resurrecting a long defunct podcast, hopefully well have our first EP Wednesday.  Also look for updates on a new music video that we will be putting.  Other than that jump in the pool, it's god damn hot.
